The AN/PVS-31A is a compact, lightweight (under 1 lb), Gen3 dual-tube binocular night vision device (BNVD) designed for U.S. Special Operations Forces to replace the PVS-15. It features high-resolution white phosphor technology, articulated goggles for improved profile, manual gain control, and an integrated IR illuminator for superior, high-contrast situational awareness in low-light environments
